VGA Startup Menu 2.2
Written by: Robert E. Latshaw, III
released: 8-21-1994
VGA startup menu is pretty much self explainitory. This is a great FREE
program for accessing up to 20 of your DOS programs at the touch of a key.
VSM also has a built in screen saver that kicks in after about 5 minutes of
no activity. You can also password protect specific menu items. There are no
keys to remember. They are all listed at the bottom. The highlighted letters
are the ones that you use.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installing VSM:
Create a directory on your C: drive called \VSM and copy all of the files to
that directory. Add the \VSM directory to your PATH statement in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
if you can't use the C: drive, thats OK. You'll simply have to change the
MENU.BAT file to reflect the new drive.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Upgrading from 2.1 and earlier versions:
2.2 has a different VSM.DAT structure so you'll need to use the print feature
from 2.1 (if you have 2.1) to print out the stats about your old menu items
because you're going to have to reenter them.(sorry) Do this BEFORE you
install the new VSM over the old one. If your using a version older than 2.1
then you're gonna have to re enter all of the info from scratch.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have any questions, feel free to call 410-250-7020 with your questions.
Hope you enjoy using VSM,
Bob Latshaw

additional note: if you're bored, hit the ~ key while in the program.
I was bored one night and added that in there. Kris is my wife, if you're
wondering.
